Shoots are on the alert after an outbreak of bird flu – but official advice is that the risk to public health is very low.
After an outbreak of avian influenza in East Yorkshire, the Food Standards Agency confirmed that there was no food safety risk as a result.
BASC told shooters and gamekeepers to play their part in ensuring the outbreak doesn’t spread – by following strict rules about biosecurity and the movement of birds.
