Blaze Publishing’s sales team has been shortlisted for the ‘Sales team of the year’ award at the British Media Awards 2014.
The independent publisher – the company behind Gun Trade News as well as consumer titles Sporting Rifle, Airgun Shooter, Clay Shooting and a host of non-shooting titles – sees its commercial team nominated alongside publishing giants such as Future, Dennis Publishing and Immediate Media.
The last 12 months have seen the sales team migrate Blaze’s commercial platform from a print-led operation to an integrated portfolio of print, web, app, video and email content, retaining or increasing existing customer bases. At the forefront of digital media trends, Blaze’s team has managed its clients’ transitions to online marketing, creating interactive and digital promotions and opening up new channels for its advertisers.
Josie Millar, advertising sales manager on Gun Trade News, said: “We are incredibly excited to have been shortlisted. The sales team work extremely hard to ensure their clients receive the best possible service and return on their investment. We have been selected amongst some very strong contenders – it’s a testament to the company and the team.”
The awards take place on 7 May.
