The Holland and Holland Shooting Ground, based in Northwood, Middlesex, has revealed plans for a heavily subsidised rifle course for experienced shooters and those new to shooting – an ideal opportunity for those considering doing the DSC Level One qualification.
Developed especially to give practical stalking guidance, the course will include simulations for high seat, bipod and kneeling shots, preparing shooters for actual stalking situations.
Comprising three one-hour one-to-one lessons, the course takes novice rifle shooters to the point at which they can competently stalk on an estate with a professional stalker or friend.
Areas covered include safety, basic ballistics and breathing techniques. A shooting test and multiple-choice questionnaire conclude the course, with the individual awarded with a log book, targets and Certificate of Achievement.
Normally £395, the course is available for £295 until the end of April – a comprehensive offer that includes ammunition, rifle hire, tuition and certificate.
