Eley Hawk has appointed Eduardo Hernando as its new managing director, replacing Tomas Atienza, who has left the company to take up a position in the automotive industry,
Mr Hernando joins Eley Hawk from its parent company Maxam in Spain, where he oversaw sales of cartridge components.
He said: “I am pleased to be working in a company that has the history and pedigree of Eley cartridges – literally in the birthplace of modern shotgun cartridges.
“I look forward to working with the well-established and respected shooting trade Eley Hawk serves. It is a privilege to build on the firm foundations already laid and ensure the Eley Hawk brand of shotgun cartridges will develop through innovation and quality so that the business serves the consumers and sports we all love and are dedicated to.”
Mr Atienza said: “After years at the helm of Eley Hawk, I decided it was time to pursue something different.” He assumes a senior role at an automotive firm in the Midlands, but he did not rule out a return to the shooting industry at a later date.
