Tony Belas of Daystate occupied the ‘Have A Go’ airgun range at the Game Fair with two new products from the Diana group.
The prototype of the Brocock Compatto showed some changes since its appearance at IWA 2015. The stock has been refined and extended by 2cm; a picatinny rail has now been added as well as a slightly higher cheekpiece, designed after feedback given at previous shows and exhibitons. Tony said the rifle has finished trials and “passed with flying colours.” and will be heading to retailers by late September or early October of this year, retailing at £585.
The Daystate Pulsar PCP launched at SHOT show and, according to Tony, has been selling well all year. The Pulsar OS series sold out quickly, and Daystate are now making a laminate version in smoke grey and forest camouflage The company always intended to produce a synthetic version and finally was able to show the first pre-production guns at the CLA. “One of the great things about synthetic versions is being able to drop the price,” said Tony. “The price drops from £1,995 to £1,599.” With the limited edition series now at an end, these are the production rifles that are replacing the MK4 air rifle. The Pulsar, in laminate and synthetic, will be a continuing line for the foreseeable future.
