MeoptaViking Arms showed many products to the trade at its dealer event at Harewood House – and at Harewood they got a first viewing from the public. First, there was Marocchi, who announced its distribution to the UK with Viking Arms earlier this year. A range of Marocchi shotguns were on display, including the Zero 3, Finn 612SC and Super SJ.

Lauri Kakkonen demonstrated the 3HGR, a gun sling that doubles as a gun rest. The sling features a support strap that gives support across both shoulders, making carrying a rifle long-distance more comfortable and secure. The harness can also be used on tree trunks, poles and posts – anything less than 30cm in diameter – to create an improvised gun rest. The strap wraps around the tree trunk and attaches to a small polymer plate.

The Meostar R2 2-12×50 (pictured) was also on display. With an SRP of £1,345, it boasts a 6x magnification ratio, illumination for day or night and top quality lens coatings. Meopta is also set to introduce the last model in the R2 line, a fixed power 8×56, in early 2016.
