Unveiled at SHOT were two bright green offerings from Pennsylvanian light manufacturer Streamlight. First, the TLR-1 Game Spotter. Designed to fit onto most guns, this tactical light has a shockproof green C4 LED with a parabolic reflector dish that creates a 150-lumen beam. A standard or remote door switch is provided and the lamp lasts for 1.75 hours on two three-volt CR123A lithium batteries. O-ring sealed with a tough polycarbonate lens, this lamping aid is a hot offering from the USA.
The equally intelligent TLR-2 G uses a green laser – we’re told it appears brighter to the human eye than other colours, drawing the user’s attention to it for better targeting, particularly at long range. The TLR-2 G has undergone extensive live-fire testing and is water resistant.
