Introduced to the market in 2012, the .17 Hornet calibre now gets its second outing: rifle manufacturer CZ has begun to chamber the calibre in its CZ 527 Varmint and American models. The calibre promises super-fast velocities married to the sort of flat trajectory you’d expect from a .223 – that’s sure to be a welcome combination. With Edgar Brothers championing the release, expect a concerted campaign of marketing support in the consumer press and elsewhere.
