Blaze Publishing’s shooting division editorial director Peter Carr has beaten a field of 42 international journalists to take home the Zeiss Sports Optics Journalist of the Year award.
The award was presented for his conservation work with Sporting Rifle magazine, which has seen over £25,000 raised for the charity Save the Rhino over three years.
Mr Carr, who holds editorships on Sporting Rifle and Modern Gamekeeping magazines and a dual presenter-director role on The Shooting Show, said: “It was the first time in my life I have been lost for words, but I accepted this award on behalf of all of you who have supported this initiative, the other hunting journalists present, and the Blaze Publishing team, who have believed in this fundraiser from its outset. I sincerely cannot thank you enough.”
