In the Sako concession at the enormous Beretta USA stand, Mikka Tamminen showed us the Carbonlight, Sako’s new offering based on the 85 action.
It’s got a fully carbon-fibre stock, making for an incredibly light factory rifle at just 5lb 30z.
Mr Tamminen said that means a Carbonlight with a light scope will weigh about the same as an unscoped Finnlight.
Pricing isn’t confirmed but it’s expected to be in line with other rifles in the 85 range.
