Aigle has signalled its intent to court the British hunting and shooting market more closely from autumn/winter 2018 onwards.
The French company best known for its footwear had pulled back from marketing to the hunting market in 2015, and concentrated on its lifestyle and outdoor wear.
It now plans to reverse this move, recognising that the field sports market represents a major opportunity and that its brand awareness has suffered in this sector in the intervening three years.
At a press launch at Aigle’s UK headquarters at Cornbury Park on 9 May, the company’s UK manager, Arnaud Banizette, said it would use the newly unveiled autumn/winter collection to fully relaunch into the UK shooting market. Initial marketing efforts will cover a number of products with a central focus on the Aigle Parcours Signature anti-fatigue boots. The company will also have a presence at The Game Fair, alongside key retailer Elm of Burford.
