US optics manufacturers Nightforce derived the SHV 3-12×56 by simplifying the characteristics seen in the NXS range and removing the illuminated reticle.
The optic retains the quality of the full-scale Nightforce scope, but in a simplified package designed to keep the costs down. Constructed for superior low light performance the new SHV features a 56mm objective fast focus eyepiece, 30mm tube and capped adjustments.
