Turkish manufacturer Hatsan has launched a new PCP air rifle that claims to be a full 50 per cent quieter than its competitors. The gun has a rotary magazine with a side-lever action and is available in three calibres: .177, .22 and .25. The .177 and .22 magazines hold 10 shots while the .25 mag holds 9. Fully shrouded and featuring an integrated mod, the Nova is being touted as a pest controller especially for situations where noise could be an issue.

The air rifle has an ambidextrous Turkish walnut stock with a Monte Carlo cheekpiece and an adjustable rubber butt pad. It has a dovetail groove to receive Weaver mounts, and a Picatinny rail under the forend for lamping. Muzzle velocities for the section 1 version are expected to vary between 1000 and 1220fps depending on calibre and pellet weight.
