London gunmaker John Rigby & Co has appointed talented engraver Andréas Robert as part of its Pensbury Place team.

Andréas studied engraving at the world-famous Liege School of Gunmaking under the tutelage of Pierre Dôme, whilst also furthering his experience working with jewellers to engrave their signet rings.

Andréas joins team to work full-time alongside the admired Rigby engravers and fellow Liege School of Gunmaking alumni, Geoffrey Lignon and Saija Koskialho.

Andreas said: “Joining John Rigby & Co gives me the opportunity to work on the finest guns and rifles currently available, and to be a part of an old, historic British gun making company.

“The team is relatively young but has a wealth of experience. With my past schoolmates working there too, it’s a little like we have never left school, and a real privilege to work alongside them.”

Rigby’s managing director Marc Newton added: “I am delighted to welcome Andréas to the team and can’t wait to see his engraving take shape – I’m incredibly impressed with what I’ve seen so far! Our business is growing all the time and to take on another talented engraver is testament to our aim for long-term growth.”
