The Accolade Series of thermal imaging bioculars comprises two models, the XP50 and XQ38. This series has an ergonomic design that is fully waterproof (IPX7) and has many features, including a dual eyepiece configuration and a variable interpupillary distance, which allows for the gap between the eyepieces to be adjusted, improving the overall viewing comfort and quality. Both models share the same features and functionality, but the XP50 has a 640×480 17µm thermal sensor and the XP50, 384×288 17µm thermal sensor.
Both have a smooth 50Hz refresh rate, but different objective lens sizes. A combination of lens and thermal sensor give the XP50 a detection range of up to 1829m, while the XQ38 has a detection range of up to 1349m. The XP50 has a native magnification of 2.5x with 8.0x smooth digital zoom providing a 20.0x total magnification. The XQ38 has a native magnification of 3.1x with a 4x smooth digital zoom providing 12.4x total magnification. These models have a stadiametric rangefinder, a frost resistant AMOLED display and picture-in-picture mode. The series features a built-in video recorder and WiFi, meaning users can stream video footage live via YouTube. All Accolade devices benefit from being Stream Vision compatible and use Pulsar’s quick-change B-Pack battery system.
