New innovations in NV and TI come at an alarming rate. The latest from Pulsar is the Trail rifle-mounted thermal imaging unit. Available with 38mm or 50mm objective lens, the Trail’s main leap in technology is that it allows live streaming to an Android or iOS unit – you can even broadcast your sight picture directly to YouTube. The Trail has variable magnification and man-sized detection to 1,800 metres, and it’s boosted by the addition of a heat sink on the side, which Pulsar say will ensure consistent image quality. Also new from Pulsar is the Helion monocular TI unit.
