Based on the classic American M16 rifle the SYNM16 has paid homage to the .223 classic in .177 and .22 air-rifle form. This full-sized break-barrel springer sports a heavy duty, synthetic, automatic safety and a vented rubber recoil pad, plus a carrying handle and separate fibre-optic rear and front reticles. With a full length of 1186mm (46.8in), the rifle is still lightweight (2.8kg) despite its size – the same trait that made its inspiration so popular during the Vietnam war.
