The Longthorne Nouveau is an auto-safe shotgun with low profile action – its 12b is the lowest on the market at 2.291. The features includes a single selective trigger, patented barrel technology and a fixed choke as standard.
However this can be proofed for steel up to full choke – with magnum steel in models with a 3″ chamber. The gun takes its name from a fully bespoke design including detailed art nouveau-inspired engravings and gold features.
These include: extended trigger tang with grip cap and gold initials, 18 carat plated trigger, eight gold pins, and bespoke Turkish walnut stock to finish.

Browning B525 Ultra XS Pro
In 2018 Browning’s Ultra XS Pro took the market by storm and was crowned ‘Shotgun of the Year’ at the first Great British Shooting Awards. Supplied with eight Invector Titanium extended chokes, two spacers, three inflex recoil pads and three trigger shoes it can be balanced on demand thanks to a clever weight and counterweight system (gunstock and barrel).
The B525 Ultra XS Pro Adjustable is equipped with an adjustable cheek-piece and a fore-end. It’s technical innovation is enhanced by new engraving decorating the action frame and the Grade 4 Turkish Walnut finish. With 28″ and 30″ barrel lengths, the gun can be fully adapted to fi t the shooters body-shape and needs, and is also on the market in a left handed version.

Rizzini Premier Sporting
As its name suggests, this model is very much in first position in the competition range of Rizzini guns. The reinforced action is finished in classic business-like black chrome with the model name neatly engraved on the underside.
The competition stock is made from well-figured oil finished walnut. Thanks to its excellent balance and handling, the Premier is also finding a keen following amongst specialist high bird shots. An extended 34” barrel is available for an extra £268.00 and automatic safety for an additional £70.00.

Beretta’s boxlock competition gun, the DT11 Sport Black Pro, is designed with impressive Olympic pedigree. Italian company TSK, have used cutting edge technology to create a totally adjustable stock with an amazing range of options; customisable to suit virtually any body shape of any shooter.
The Pro version includes all the features of the DT11 Black including the Beretta B Fast barrel balancing system and will now be available in 30” as well as the original 32” barrel.

Perazzi MX8
Perazzi continues to share dominance of the high-end competition market with Beretta, with no end of Olympic and other international medals to its name.
The brand has a fiercely loyal following – and for good reason. Perazzi fi rearms are made with precision and are as stylish as any Italian brand you care to mention. The MX8 is far from the most expensive of the company’s offerings and is ideally suited for Trap, though it can be tailored for other disciplines.
At over 8lb, it won’t feel particularly tiring to use thanks to the meticulous attention paid to the gun’s balance.

Blaser F16
Pictured here in its Sporter guise, the F16 continues to attract interest for its combination of the Blaser style and brand with a reasonably affordable price tag.
A versatile gun, it can be made to suit the individual shooter thanks to the removable balancer weights on the stock bolt, adjustable trigger blade and choice of extended or detachable chokes. Conventionally bored and with a flat, narrow, rib, it’s an all-purpose gun that could be picked up for just about any type of shoot.

A 70mm drop at heel gives the high-head position that’s needed for Trap disciplines, while the comb is adjustable for height and cast.
The high, ramped rib is adjustable too, meaning the shooter has a lot of options to configure the gun’s fit to their tastes.
