GTN picks a selection of rimfire rifles that are ideal for pest control or target practice

CZ 457 Varmint

The new CZ 457 family is distinguished by its sophisticated modular design. With the quality, versatility, accuracy and straightforward operating system of the 455, the 457 comes with a host of new features including a new trigger mechanism, which allows the user to adjust the pull weight.

Another advantage is the notably reduced turning angle of the bolt handle (30 degrees less than previous CZ models). Thanks to this, the gun enjoys comfortable handling, even with a scope mounted, as well as the ability to fit scopes with large ocular bells at lower ring heights.

It also benefits from a right-side safety that disengages when pushed forward. The 457’s bolt can also be cycled when the safety is engaged. Quick-change interchangeable barrels are offered in .22 LR, .22 WMR and .17 HMR and all 457 models use M455 magazines.

Mounting bases for scopes are included in this model, which comes in a grey laminate with stainless steel barrels. The traditional look renews all the pleasure of shooting with a small calibre rifle.
