THE British Shooting Show team has been working quietly behind the scenes, readying themselves for the restart of the events industry and the return of the Show to the NEC. They opened for business last September. Since then, the results have been extremely brisk and upbeat, with more manufacturers due to attend this year than ever before, and many of them requesting additional floor space for their new product launches. Retailers have also been very active, and BSS has received the highest level of bookings it has seen for many years.
With this comes a massive headache: the requirement for more exhibition space! The last NEC show, in 2020, saw many of the manufacturers increase their presence with some of the most beautiful exhibition stands to date. But the 2022 Show will really be setting the bar at a completely new level.
This year has seen social media play its part more than ever before and BSS has received overwhelming positivity from within the industry for this year’s show. This has also been replicated in ticket sales, with numbers surpassing previous years’ sales every month since September.
New exhibitors are always good for the show and attract even more visitors to the event. To date there are 17 new companies exhibiting in 2022.
This year’s show is set to be very busy. What a pleasure it is to be able to report something positive and nice!
Manufacturers launching new products The leading manufacturers will be back at the NEC this February, launching new products at the British Shooting Show 2022. The show is the largest gathering of manufacturers in the UK, and between them they will bring more than 200 new products to the three-day event.
Highland Outdoors will be there promoting their new guns, optics, and clothing ranges. RUAG Ammotec’s new clothing brand will further strengthening their already impressive range of products. Edgar Brothers will also launch five new products, while Browning is ready to unveil their highly anticipated new shotgun.

The Demonstration Arena An important venue at the event, and this year will see displays from leading sporting professionals such as Andy Cullen MBE of Laochin Gundogs.
Andy’s tutorials and lessons are very popular throughout the UK, and his skills are also respected in Europe and the USA. This will be your opportunity to join in on Andy’s Q&A sessions.
West Country Films has long been established as one of the countryside’s most prolific film makers. Chris Green is just as enthusiastic in real life as he is on film and will be entertaining a live audience in the Arena. Make sure you get copies of the latest movies.

The NGO Gamekeepers’ Lounge The National Gamekeepers’ Organisation will host talks on their work at their dedicated Gamekeepers’ Lounge, which will also provide a great meeting place for gamekeepers, assistants, and anyone else who wants to learn more about this fundamental aspect of countryside management.
