Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the British Shooting Show set for April 2021 has been postponed until February 2022.

The British Shooting Show was set to return to the NEC for its fourth year but was unable to do so because of coronavirus restrictions and the uncertainty they bring.

The decision was then taken to postpone the event from the original date of February 2021 to April 2021, where the event would take place in East of England Arena & Events Centre in Peterborough, rather than Birmingham’s NEC.

However, due to restrictions and increasing infection rates, The Shooting Show’s decision-makers have been forced to make the call and postpone all events until 2022.

John Allison, MD of The British Shooting Show, has commented: “January has not been the start one would have wished for! The past few weeks have been very difficult and I would like to thank the industry for their complete support with regards to my decision to postpone the British Shooting Show 2021.

“Hosting the UK’s largest trade and retail event in this current climate could be detrimental to our industry as a whole. It could be miscommunicated as our industry being irresponsible in the midst of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

“If we all work together during 2021 to continue to follow restrictions and wait for the vaccine to be rolled out to the population. It’s the sacrifice that we all make now, that will allow us to enjoy events once again in 2022.”
