Italian gunmaker Zoli were in attendance at the 51st European FITASC Sporting Championships, inviting competitors to test out one of their Z-Guns for a chance to win a Sporting competition model.
568 shooters entered the raffle in Piancardato, Italy, paying a €10 entry fee for the chance to win a Zoli Kronos Sporting competition shotgun, worth £4,264.
Attending his first ever championship, Thomas Young a 21-year old slate worker from Stirling in Scotland, purchased just one ticket which was drawn on the final day of the competition, winning him the Zoli, which was presented by the gunmakers president, Paolo Zoli.
Commenting on his win, Thomas said: “I couldn’t believe it when I received the call from Zoli to say I had won the shotgun. I only entered the competition on the Sunday after I was persuaded to by a friend. It really was the icing on the cake and a great end to my first shooting competition abroad.”
Derek Edgar, director of Edgar Brothers the UK distributors for Zoli, added: “Many congratulations to Thomas for winning the shotgun, we hope he has many enjoyable years of competitive shooting ahead of him with his new Zoli. At Edgar Brothers we believe it is fantastic to work with such a great brand who are so generous and supportive of the shooting industry.”
