The shortlists are out for the second Great British Shooting Awards, and voting is now open.
The awards have grown this year, and now span 15 categories, with the shooting public able to vote in 14 of them. As with the inaugural awards, the final category – Lifetime Achievement – will be solely at the judges’ discretion.
Voting will take place on the Awards website (http://www.greatbritishshootingawards.com) and run until 31 December. Judges will review the results before the winners are announced at an exclusive ceremony on 15 February 2020 at the British Shooting Show.
First launched in 2018, the Great British Shooting Awards are a showcase for the products and people that drive the UK shooting industry forward.
They enjoy support from headline sponsor Pulsar for the second year running, as well as associate sponsor and ceremony venue The British Shooting Show, and category sponsors ATN, Ariat, Norma, RWI and Streamlight.
Shortlists were formed from an initial round of trade nominations, reviewed by our judging panel: Future field sports editor-in-chief Peter Carr, CPSA chief executive Iain Parker, NGO vice-chairman Geoff Garrod, Countryside Alliance director of shooting Sam Carlisle, Scottish Country Sports Tourism Group co-ordinator Andrew Grainger, BASC vice chairman Claire Sadler, and Gun Trade Association executive director Simon West.
