Time Inc, the media group that owns a range of shooting titles including the Shooting Times, Shooting Gazette, The Field, and Sporting Gun, as well as countless other country and lifestyle media brands, has been bought out by Iowa-based publishing giant Meredith. The move marks the culmination of a turbulent period for Time Inc, which was spun off from Time Warner in 2014, and relocated shooting magazine staff to Farnborough in 2015.

Meredith’s CEO Tom Harty has said that the company may look to sell on some titles: “[We will] conduct a portfolio review of the combined company’s media assets and divest those not core to our business which might be more value to another operator.”
