January was a huge success for Britain’s sport shooters, with no fewer than six shooters setting new British records across rifle, pistol and shotgun disciplines. Up and coming 10m air rifle shooter Victoria Walls, who set a British Juniors’ record of 608.7 at the Gundsolille Open in Denmark only to beat her own score at the same competition with a 613.9 just two days later. Other British competitors to score British records are Jen McIntosh, Seonaid McIntosh, Sharon Niven, Victoria Mullin and Emily Shawyer. In a statement, British Shooting expressed its “huge congratulations” to all the shooters who broke records.
