Southdown Gun Club and Shooting School is the Nation’s Favourite Shooting Ground 2018, having once more won the annual poll conducted by Clay Shooting magazine.
With this victory, the Sussex ground becomes the first ever to win the award twice in a row, and has also won the regional award for the best ground in the south-east, as well as best Sporting ground and Best Breakfast.
Having transformed its coaching offering in recent years, the ground is also buoyed by its hosting of prestigious events, which in 2018 include the Clay Shooting Classic and Benelli Sp’Auto.
A spokesperson for Clay Shooting said: “This is a ground in its prime, offering the very best facilities no matter what your preferred type of shooting is.”
Auchterhouse was runner-up in the poll, and South West Shooting School came third.
