Just eight months after launching, The Country Girls UK have been shortlisted for the Best Rural and Outdoor Pursuits Business in the North.

The Rural Business Awards 2021/2022, in partnership with Amazon, will mark the Awards’ seventh year of celebrating the success of businesses across the UK’s rural economy. The Awards are organised by rural business for rural business with the aim of celebrating the achievements of rural businesses and developing a strong network for rural business owners.
Speaking after being shortlisted for the award, Tania Coxon, Founder of The Country Girls UK said: “Never did we ever think after six short months setting up an events business… in the middle of a global pandemic, we would be shortlisted for such a prestigious award.
“It has absolutely blown my mind, but it is credit to our women and the type of community we have created. I am so incredibly proud of all of our team and the results we are now starting to see after the amount of hard work that has gone into developing the CGUK. It makes me smile every time I think of being shortlisted.”
Director and Co-Founder of The Rural Business Awards, Jemma Clifford, added: “We are excited to celebrate the 2021/2022 awards after such a challenging year for businesses. We are passionate about creating a nurturing environment where rural businesses can develop, and this starts by showcasing the great work they do. On behalf of everyone at the Rural Business Awards, we want to say well done to The Country Girls UK and wish them luck ahead of the regional finals.”
The regional finals will take place in October. The team and members alike are looking forward to the future, starting with heading down to Warwickshire at the end of the week for the premier shooting show of the season, The Game Fair.
If you are planning on visiting the show, we encourage you to head to The Country Girls UK stand (K732 – opposite the Gunmaker’s Pub).
