Wild and Game, the not-for-profit company working to boost game consumption in the UK, has teamed up with the British Game Alliance to supply free game-based meals to NHS workers during the COVID-19 crisis.

The Game Aid project started last week with the delivery of 2,500 game-based lunch bags to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton. Each lunch bag contains a Wild & Game pheasant and pork pie, some fruit, a bottle of water, a packet of crisps, a yogurt and a chocolate treat for an NHS worker to enjoy.

Game Aid is a collaboration between The British Game Alliance (BGA), food manufacturer Samworth Brothers, Wild & Game and bi-monthly publication Fieldsports Journal. The project has been funded by donations.

The initiative has been established solely to assist NHS frontline staff during the Covid 19 epidemic.  When the UK resumes normal life once again, any residual funds raised by Game Aid will be donated to the Country Food Trust to support their efforts to feed those in need.
