Specialist shooting magazine house Blaze Publishing is expanding iShoot – its successful digital title for the live quarry shotgun shooting market – by merging it with Modern Gamekeeping magazine and committing to monthly frequency in both printed and digital form.
“Modern Gamekeeping has been a successful title in the five years since we launched,” said Blaze Publishing’s managing director Wes Stanton, “and has become essential reading for gamekeepers and the industry. What has become clear is that the opportunity for real growth is coming from an expansion of the title’s remit into the wider live quarry shotgun shooting market while continuing to serve the interests of the gamekeeping community. We launched iShoot last year, specifically as a live quarry shotgun shooting product, and the reaction from our readers has been positive and strong.
“While there are those who believe that digital is the way forward, it’s only part of the story: digital magazine publishing is an area that needs substantial investment, which we began to make several years ago. Bringing together these two strong brands to provide an exceptional package for our readers, curated by our editorial director Peter Carr and delivered through print, digital and video, will ensure that our readership continues to grow and our level of investment remains commensurate with the opportunity.”
The next issue of iShoot will be available in July.
