The results will be collected ahead of the British Shooting Show in February, with the winners set to be announced across 11 categories on Saturday 16th. One category which is being hotly contested is the Rifle of the Year category, sponsored by Sightmark.
The shortlist for the award includes the Blaser R8 Professional Carbon Success, CZ 455 Stainless Rimfire, Merkel Helix Speedster, Rigby Highland Stalker and Sako 85 Finnlight II.
Sightmark explained that the Rifle of the Year category hits the heart of the optics market with pinpoint accuracy for a vast array of rifles. A statement said: “Our brand has a wide range of quality hunting, tactical and sport shooting products that strive to advance the tech offerings that appeal to different segments of the market.
“In addition, Sightmark develops a diverse set of riflescopes reticles designed to cater to various shooting needs, hunting conditions and types of targets. The “Rifle of the Year” category allows complementary businesses such as premium optics, sighting accessories manufacturers, and the finest rifle makers to bind through meaningful real-time interaction.”
The Great British Shooting Awards have also enjoyed the benefits of having industry experts on hand to share their views on various products. Sightmark emphasised the importance of professional opinion. “Gathering feedback from our long term partners is extremely important. We maintain close relationships and we rely together to gradually build the right products that will delight our customers and prospects. Nothing helps deepen knowledge as effectively as sharing it.
“Reputed experts sound off on hot topics and trends in the rifle industry which can challenge and inspire Sightmark on our way to becoming an innovator and a market leader in the optics niche. Taking the expert views to increase business efficiency, will inevitably lead to increased customer satisfaction.”
The engineering, craftsmanship, and innovation in the rifle industry continues to set increasingly high standards.
“Here at Sightmark we count on a team of professionals with whom we develop with care each of our modern sporting products. It is important for us to have a greater understanding of the market needs and wants in order to be able to offer both functionality and unique design. All this while implementing pioneering ideas and maintaining high quality and affordable price.”
