NRA £400k claim against NSRA

Lord Roberts CentreMinutes from the NRA General Council meeting on 12 June reveal the NRA has asserted a claim of up to £400,000 against the NSRA, based on an uplift clause in the sale of the Lord Roberts Centre.

The clause in question is based on an uplift in the value of the NSRA’s premises on Bisley Camp, which are used for indoor target shooting as well as other sports and corporate events.

The chairman and chief executive of the NRA met two members of the NSRA in a meeting described as “cordial”, to discuss potential financial benefits of a closer working relationship between the two organisations, but in this particular discussion it was concluded that “the anxiety that would cause is not worth the financial benefit to both sides.”

The NSRA is seeking advice on the claim’s “validity and reasonableness”.

The full minutes from the General Council meeting are available on the NRA’s official website.
