Deerhunter IWA

Danish clothing brand Deerhunter had a new jacket on display – plus there’s news of two tweed jackets set to hit the shops this autumn.

The Highland jacket, designed for game shooters, will be in stores by this September, and features large cartridge pockets with magnetic flaps, vented back and spacious arms for unrestricted movement while shooting. The jacket is also 100 per cent waterproof.

Lars Engel and Sean Leak also showed the Gun Trade News team two new prototype tweed jackets. Using Thinsulate lining and high quality fabrics, these tweed jackets are waterproof and windproof and will be ideal additions to the game shooting clothing range. With the jackets still in the product development stage, we can expect to see more tweaks and improvements before they are given an official launch this autumn.

“It’s so new we haven’t really pushed it yet,” said Lars. “This is its first showing, at IWA.”
